The School of Business and Public Administration makes every effort to support the success and growth of all students. With programs designed to meet the needs of businesses of every size and industry, BPA students and graduates are well-prepared to address the challenging issues facing businesses and organizations in our region.

We have built and continue to maintain strong relationships with local business, government and nonprofit agencies throughout Kern County. It is with these relationships that we are able to offer BPA students Internship and Job Opportunities specific to their chosen careers and in return those business retain highly qualified interns and future employees.

Fleet- Shop Operations Internship

Position Summary:

Our internships offer hands-on experience in the field with mentorship from experienced professionals!
Summer interns are selected to assist department managers in specific operations of the farming business, which are related directly to students' course of study. Interns receive excellent experience to supplement their classroom education.

Congressional Leadership Fund

Summer Internship

The Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) is the leading Super PAC supporting Republican candidates for the U.S. House. CLF plans to spend $100 million during the 2018 cycle, while maintaining more than 35 grassroots field offices across the country.

Fantastic opportunity for those interested in building a resume and learning more about campaigns and politics. Flexible hours and able to work with busy schedules. Interns may earn college credit with this internship.

Health and Safety Intern/Co-op (PAID)

Key Deliverables:Support the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system for Aera Energy LLC; Complete project(s) as assigned and agreed to; Perform safety compliance assessments; Draft programs; Maintain simple performance scorecards; Develop skills necessary to review job site work permits; Develop experience in Health and Safety; Develop understanding of Industrial Hygiene tools, instruments and principles; Conduct Industrial Hygiene surveys and generate technical reports.

Interns support priority projects and programs that optimize organizational performance, foster innovation, and drive growth. HCC’s ultimate aim is to improve the health of populations in the regions we serve and nationally by motivating and developing greater numbers of value driven, capable and diverse leaders and public health professionals.
