The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting multiple HR disciplines and assigned projects. This position carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee and labor relations, organizational development, training, employment, affirmative action, and benefits & compensation and position control.
This position focuses on serving the needs, concerns and objectives of both managers and our employees through building effective partnerships and by creating trust and mutual respect. It leads the administration and implementation of Human Resources (HR) policies, programs and practices throughout the facility and acts as the liaison between the facility management and Regional/ Corporate HR.
Performs professional level duties related to human resources, including responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, compliance, leave administration, and benefits administration. Assists the Corporate HR/Risk Manager to ensure operational effectiveness and exceptional customer service to the management and employee population of KS Industries, LP.
Maintains responsibility for facilitating the logistics of the region's recruitment of new talent and partnering with Talent Advisors on ensuring a timely and effective recruitment process. Posts jobs, reviews applicants and schedules interviews, as well as any necessary travel arrangements, and facilitates the post-offer and onboarding process. Ensures candidates are accurately and effectively tracked within the system and all necessary communication between the candidate and the organization are taking place.
• Based on a broad understanding of University issues and presidential priorities, strategically manage the President's professional calendar.
• Coordinate and direct the daily office operations, correspondence, phone calls, inquiries, requests for appointments with the President, and make appropriate referrals.
• Review, sort, and direct President’s mail, referring action items to the Chief of Staff, President, or others, as appropriate.
• Work independently, strategically and effectively to provide the President appropriate briefing materials, analysis, and reports necessary for meetings, conferences, communications, and phone calls.
• Coordinate the President’s and President’s spouse’s domestic and international university-related travel.
