CSU Bakersfield’s School of Business and Public Administration (CSUB BPA) welcomed Seung B. Bach as the new Associate Dean on July 1st, 2019. Dr. Bach received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from The University of Tennessee (Knoxville, TN), a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University (Washington, DC.), and a Master of Science in Management from Hanyang University (Seoul, Korea).
Dr. Bach joined CSUB BPA from California State University, Sacramento where he held positions as Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy, (Founding) Faculty Director for the Center for Entrepreneurship, Interim Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, Chair of the Strategic Planning Task Force, Area Liaison for the Management Area, and the Faculty Coordinator for the Center for Small Business.
In addition to his appointments at California State University, Sacramento, Dr. Bach’s professional experience include: Authoring the Small Business Economy section of Sacramento Business Review (Semi-annual Economic Forecasting and Business Analysis), Serving as Advisory Board and Leadership Council Member for organizations/institutions in the Sacramento region, and Business Consulting.
Dr. Bach has received awards for Outstanding University Service Award (CSU Sacramento), Graduate Teaching Award (University of Tennessee), and The Best Doctoral Student Paper Award in the Entrepreneurship/Ethic track (Southern Management Association).
